
August 29, 2022 marked Netflix's 25th anniversary. Rather than pat ourselves on the back, we looked at this milestone as a moment to reconnect with fans at a crossroads for the brand.
Our strategy: help people remember why they fell in love with Netflix in the first place. We created a 90-second film retelling our story through the eyes of the fans who got us there — showing that while Netflix may have created the platform, it was the fans who made it a cultural phenomenon. We supported with a day of nostalgic social posts and a special red envelope message on the Sunset Blvd Marquee.
The film reached the TODAY Show and generated approximately 15 million organic impressions in 24 hours.
